Checking the Status of a Case in Immigration Court:

An A-Number is a unique 9 or 10-digit number that starts with the letter “A’’ and identifies you in the immigration process. It is located on your immigration papers. There are two (2) ways to check the status of your A-Number:

  1. Type your A-Number into the EOIR website here

  2. Call the EOIR Hotline at 1-800-898-7180

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of suicide or experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis, 988 provides connection to free, confidential support. Assistance available in English and Spanish, other languages available through the use of interpretation.

Child Care Assistance in New Jersey

Child Care subsidy assistance available if child is U.S. Citizen or qualified non-citizen (refugee or asylee).

The New Jersey Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) can help income-eligible parents who are working, in school or in job training to pay for child care.

Where to Apply: 

Located in every county, Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies have trained staff to provide information on the program.

If you receive SNAP or WIC Benefits you have access to New Jersey’s Families First Discovery Pass program. This program provides families and individuals enrolled in state assistance programs with free or highly discounted admission to arts and history organizations, venues, and programs. All New Jersey workers – including members of immigrant and refugee communities – have protections under the law.

Internet and Technology Resources

Access to Internet and Technology

The Affordable Connectivity Program is a federal program that provides eligible households with a discount on broadband service and connected devices. Eligibility is determined by participation in SNAP, Medicaid or based on income.

New Jersey Driver's Licenses

As of May 1, 2021, all New Jerseyans, regardless of immigration status, may apply for a standard driver’s license and non-driver ID card.
